Vince Camuto: Weekend Style Vibes

Can we talk about how fab this blouse is? I’m all for comfortable, stylish clothing.

With the perfect pair of jeggings and comfortable heels from GS Love, this look is so appropriate for a night out on the town or day out with bae or the girls. To add a little chic boho vibe, I decided to add my fave tan hat and crossbody.

Nudes and neutral tones were used for my makeup, simple is always better in this scorching summer heat!

The good thing about this blouse is that it can be styled for any occasions in many different ways. Summer styles should always keep you comfortable and cool, of course! The cotton fabric of this blouse is very breathable for the Summertime.

I like to avoid clingy clothing during the warmer months, especially during outside events. Clingy and tight clothing will show unflattering sweat marks. To avoid this, stick to relaxed, flowy, styled clothing.

This blouse was one of two pieces that I received in my Gwynnie Bee monthly subscription and this is why I love the versatility this style subscription gives me! Another plus is that the pieces that I love can be purchased at a discounted prices.

Affordable Summer Fashion Finds

Happy Tuesday Beauties!

Let’s talk about this maxi skirt! It’s definitely dress season and the maxis are in full effect! I can remember when I was younger how much I hated wearing dresses now I can’t get away from dresses and skirts, especially maxi styles.

This skirt from Burlington was purchased in the store for $14.99! Normally, in maxi style skirts I can wear an XL or 1x but this skirt has plenty of stretch in the waist. I purchased a large and it’s a very comfortable fit.

To complete this look, I paired this skirt with a crop off the shoulder top from Charlotte Russe for $11.99. Of course, I also paired this full-length skirt with a pair of heels(although you can’t see them). I’m a shorty so most of the time I have to pair full-length clothing with a pair of heels or get alterations done. This entire look is under $30! Another plus, this basic crop shirt can be paired with many other looks!

Whenever I’m shopping, I like to shop for basic pieces, so that I can maximize my wardrobe. Basic pieces are essential to building a trendy wardrobe!

On Trend: Florals and Maxis

Summer has quickly approached and once again florals are on trend for summer 18, along with many other fab fashions. Click here to see the summer trend report from Marie Claire. I couldn’t imagine a summer without wearing maxis. You can dress them up or dress them down for any occasion.

This dress is everything! It’s super comfortable, off the shoulder(which I love so much), super affordable, and of course, floral print! The pockets on this dress are an added bonus as well. If you’ve followed my blog posts and Instagram for awhile, then you know I’m not one to shy away from the florals. This dress is a size XL and will definitely be in the rotation to wear again. Floral prints look great on any body type, from small print florals to big print florals. The key to wearing prints is to try on different types of the print you love and then determine which print you love the most before saying it won’t look great on your body type.

Stripes on Stripes

Happy Monday Beauties!

Today is all about the stripes! I must admit I am overly obsessed with stripes, especially black and white. It’s just something about those classic black and white stripes, with a bold, red lip that makes my heart melt.

Normally, I’m not the one to mix and match prints or wear a bold print on the top and bottom, unless it’s a one piece. For this look, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and go for it! And I’ll let you in on a little secret. This entire look was under $15! Yes, you read right under $15.

This entire look was thrifted! It’s been awhile since I’ve done some thrifting and even longer since I’ve done a thrift post. I’m not an expert or frequent thrifter but when I do thrift I always find some great pieces!

Horizontal and vertical stripes will definitely be on trend for spring/summer 2018. Both stripes have been seen in many fashion weeks, so expect to see more in store. Don’t be afraid to mix and match stripes, or pair stripes with solid, bold colors for spring/summer. To make your look pop, even more, go for a bolder lipstick with a neutral tone eyeshadow.

It’s Bri Day!

Happy Wednesday and Happy Birthday to me! It’s only right, that in true blogger fashion, I share with you a few things I have learned along this journey to 27. I’m sure some would say, “oh your just a baby still”. While that may be true to ”some extent”, this journey has definitely taught me a lot !

So let’s get started:

1. Never be afraid to take a leap of FAITH!

Although I’m just 27, I wish I had this mentality 10 years ago! You know we have this cookie cutter dream of how we want our lifestyle to be and let’s face it, it doesn’t always happen that way. And it’s okay. Life has a way of coming full circle no matter what path we take. We can venture off, hit a dead end, climb a mountain and even fall down that mountain, and still make it to where we are destined to be! It’s all apart of God’s plan.

2. If not you, then who?

You know that gift/talent you been sitting on? You know the one where you short yourself by giving that ”discount”. The one that you find true joy in. Go and achieve that dream! Now, this is not for those who are comfortable with keeping their talent as a side hustle. This is for the ones who contemplate on a daily basis, what if? And this is definitely for me too. No, it won’t be easy to step into the unknown, but I l’m sure you will thank yourself later down the line. Plan and preparation is the key. Don’t hold off any longer! Your future is calling you.

3. Enjoy life and live it abundantly!

My goal for 2018 was to make a lifestyle change. Although you’ve heard me talk about keto on my Instagram. What I love about the keto, is that it’s a LIFESTYLE. Another way I’m living life abundantly is by finding the positive in every situation. No situation, person or anything should cause you your peace.

I could go on, but I won’t keep you beauties here all day. Plus, it’s time to get the b’day festivities started! Head over to my instastories to follow my eventful day!

Styling Like A Boss, Girl Boss That Is…

Every girl boss has their own signature work style. Some tend to think of a CEO, manager or any high power position when the words are said. However, you can be a girl boss in many ways, regardless of your work title.

My work style is fun but yet, business casual. While the majority of my time is spent at work during the week; I still like to have those transitional pieces that can go from the office to the weekend. This fun, flirty skirt gives me the business casual look I desire along with the fun.

There are two items every working woman should have in their closet and that’s a white button-down shirt and a great pair of heels. Now, let me be honest with you. I love my heels but by 1:30 pm, you’ll probably find me in a pair of cute flats. Unless it’s a chunky heel, now I can strut all day in a chunky heel.

A classic white button-down is a must-have wardrobe item. I would even go as far as to say, buy multiple! This staple piece is so easy to become a routine, so finding creative ways to reinvent the look is best to keep the look fresh. Pair the shirt with trousers, layer the look with a duster or vest, just to name a few.

I snagged this white button down shirt during an online bogo Forever21 sale. I purchased the shirt and a floral skirt, which I showed in my YouTube haul here, for $22.00. Not bad at all, right? You may also remember the skirt and shoes from my haul as well. All the items were on sale! The skirt is from Ashley Stewart and the shoes are from Charlotte Russe.

So, how do you conquer the day in your girl boss work style? I would love to hear how you slay your work attire. Clothing can easily affect the confidence level. Let your fashions communicate confidence in every way!

Happy Friday Beauties!

Today I’m bringing you another V-day look that won’t break the bank! Would you believe me if I told you this dress is under $25.00? Well, it is! Comfortable and cost friendly, is definitely a winner to me. This dress is perfect for an evening out with bae.

This dress is very long so I paired this dress with a classic black heel. The deep v- neck in this dress allows you to go as simple or dramatic as you would like with your necklace. I decided to keep it somewhat simple by adding one of my smaller statement necklace and a pair of stud earrings.

However you decide to style this red maxi dress; you can’t go wrong. Maxi dresses will always be my favorite because it’s an effortless slay. A plus to this dress is the stretch in this maxi. There’s nothing worst than being uncomfortable in your clothes, especially when your out on the town. Being comfortable in your clothes is essential to exuding true confidence.
