Some of us have stayed strong and kept those resolutions and some of us haven’t. In the past year’s, I’ve set resolutions and abandoned them by March. I’m guilty.

This year I decided not to set any resolutions but to focus more on staying motivated to accomplish all my goals. Here are the three ways I’m stay motivated:

Springing Into Florals

Happy Wednesday Beauties!

So It’s officially spring, well at least according to the calendar it is, but as for the weather, it’s still up for discussion. It’s no secret that I love florals and if you didn’t get a chance to check out how I wear floral print in the fall/winter seasons click here to view that post. The floral print is such a feminine accent to add to any look and with so many varieties of styles to choose from, the floral sky’s are the limit!

On last week, I gave you tips on how to update your spring makeup routine. I had to keep the trend going and share with you one of my favorite spring sets! Don’t worry, if you didn’t get the make-up tips simply drop your email in the comment section and I’ll send it directly to you.

This two-piece set is super comfortable, affordable(under $35 for the full set)and an easy go-to spring look. If you’re like me and like to get the most out of what’s in your closet, there are so many looks you can get out of this set. Here are a few examples:

• Pair the kimono top with a fitted dress or over a tank or tube top.

• Pair the pants with a classic tee, jean shirt button down, or with a solid color duster.

Fashion is all about your style and what you make out of it! Get creative with your wardrobe pieces and don’t be afraid to mix up your pieces.

What are some of your favorite spring trends?

Xoxo Maxi Love

Happy Friday Beauties!

Today I’m bringing you another V-day look that won’t break the bank! Would you believe me if I told you this dress is under $25.00? Well, it is! Comfortable and cost friendly, is definitely a winner to me. This dress is perfect for an evening out with bae.

This dress is very long so I paired this dress with a classic black heel. The deep v- neck in this dress allows you to go as simple or dramatic as you would like with your necklace. I decided to keep it somewhat simple by adding one of my smaller statement necklace and a pair of stud earrings.

However you decide to style this red maxi dress; you can’t go wrong. Maxi dresses will always be my favorite because it’s an effortless slay. A plus to this dress is the stretch in this maxi. There’s nothing worst than being uncomfortable in your clothes, especially when your out on the town. Being comfortable in your clothes is essential to exuding true confidence.

Roses are Red: Unconditional Self-Love

Happy Tuesday Beauties!

The month of February is a symbolic month for love. Today I’m sharing with you 3 ways to love yourself unconditionally and of course I’m giving you the details on this fab dress. Sometimes as women, we can be so hard and judge mental of ourselves. We set unrealistic expectations for our lives, compare our “now” with others, and get discouraged when we don’t live up to society’s expectations. At some point in my past, I have done all three and maybe some of you have too. Here’s three ways to love your self unconditionally.

• Daily Affirmation- It might sound silly to some but reciting daily affirmations every morning will set the tone for whatever the day has to bring. Do you remember how when we were younger and if we would get in trouble; the teacher would make you write sentences such as, “I will not talk in class.” Writing those sentences would stick in my mind all day, no matter what went on that day and I believe that reciting those affirmations will stick with you throughout your day as well.

• Take yourself on a date- Now I was All was the one that would say, “ I could never sit in a restaurant and eat alone.” Guess I didn’t know what I was missing out on. Recently, I took myself to breakfast and I truly enjoyed my company. I spent that time catching up on writing my plans and thinking. Never underestimate the power of taking yourself out. Now I haven’t got to the point where I would have dinner alone but, never say never.

• Know that life goes on- So what you didn’t check off that life goal this month. Life goes on. There are too many reasons for us to celebrate life. Everyday is a gift and we should all act as such. We only get one life to live. Follow your dreams and live them unapologetically. Remember, you owe no one an explanation for doing what makes you happy.

Dress details: This dress is perfection. The fit and comfort of this dress are a plus to the sheer and rose detailing. I ordered this dress in a size XL and the side detail has a small zipper.

Fall Florals

How many of you have thought about putting your floral print clothing up for Fall? If you have, take that thought away now I’m here today to bring you a post that will make you consider keeping those floral pieces out a little longer. I’m a firm believer that Summer and Spring pieces can be easily transition into Fall and, even Winter seasons. Now of course, some pieces are meant for certain seasons but for the most part most clothing can be transitional.

When shopping for florals in this season, it’s good to look for darker/ seasonal shades such as: mustard, burgundy and black. For transitional floral pieces, adding a leather jacket or sweater will tone down almost any floral and add that fall flair to an outfit. Also consider adding a Fall hat to your floral look.

Today I’m featuring one of my favorite fall floral maxi dresses from Gwynnie Bee; it’s super comfy and an effortless slay. And I most definitely love a effortless outfit. A simple pair of hoops and a pair of bangles is all I paired with this look with. Besides the floral detailing, this dress has two pockets and a waist tie that can be used to pull the dress tighter in the waist.

This dress is perfect for the holiday season and with Thanksgiving right around the corner. This piece is definitely a look! Stylish and comfortable, plus the waist tie is adjustable, now that’s an added perk to make room for all the turkey and dressing you can eat lol . With my family we always do an informal dinner and although it’s informal I’m usually the cousin that shows up doing the most lol, but this year I’m keeping it real simple and casual.

Don’t be surprised if you see me on social media with my family in this dress! Lol I’m definitely putting this one on repeat.

What is your holiday style for family dinners? Are you the cute and casual cousin or the over dressed cousin for the holidays?

Leave me a comment or send me a message and don’t forget to share, share, share !

Jumping Into The Holiday Season

Happy Monday Dolls!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year am I’m so into the Christmas season! From decorating the house ,to shopping in the holiday atmosphere, and celebrating at Christmas parties, I love it all! My Christmas tree has been up since the week after Halloween, don’t judge me. With all the exciting festivities going on  what better way to celebrate than in a fab jumpsuit! When I tried on this jumpsuit, I instantly knew I had to add it to my closet. The color and deep v cut is just some of the major highlights of this cute jumpsuit.

I will be honest, I’m normally not a big fan of jumpsuits. I can never find one to fit exactly to my liking and the few I have purchased in the past I had to get them altered. If you have ever had anything altered before then you know it’s not that cheap to have alterations done. Hence, this is my reason for skipping out on jumpsuits, but to my surprise this jumpsuit was the perfect fit with the right amount of stretch. I probably will have the seamstress take a little off the leg, but I’m not sure yet because if I decide to wear this jumpsuit again with a higher heel I don’t want the length too short.

When looking for jumpsuits, I suggest trying it on every time. Yes, every time and I hate trying on clothes so I understand your pain, but I also know it will save you a lot of hassle in the end. When looking for jumpsuits don’t be afraid to go up or down a size, because of the many styles and materials, every jumpsuit will fit differently. I have jumpsuits in a large, a 2x and even a medium! And this rule applies to any clothing you purchase, don’t be afraid to try a variety of sizes.

I would rather know I purchased my jumpsuit in a larger size and have it fit properly than to purchase my exact size and the fit is horrible! The jumpsuit I’m wearing from  GS Love is a size 1x, but because of the stretch and the peplum style the fit is perfect. This jumpsuit can definitely go for an office holiday party(with a tank underneath) or a night out look.

Vision Board Party

Happy Monday Beauties!

As promised, I’m sharing the details on my experience at the vision board party from this past weekend. By the way, if you haven’t already, be sure to sign up for my monthly newsletters for exclusive content and giveaways. Some years back, I created a vision board via Pinterest and I pinned all of my goals and dream to the board. I never really considered putting it on an actual board simply because I had the mindset that I could always go back to my app for inspiration whenever I needed it.

Although it’s true, you can revert back to your app but sometimes it’s better to have the vision in front of you to see every day! One thing that really stuck with me from the facilitator of this event was, make your board intentional. While my board on Pinterest had every single thing I hoped for years, this board has everything I want to accomplish this year. One of the amazing things we did was use a writing prompt. The writing prompt simply stated, “ It is 12/31/18 and I am so proud that I have accomplished_______.” From there we wrote our accomplishments as if they were completed and them proceeded to work on our vision boards.

To me, this was an amazing idea instead of filling the board with a bunch of pretty pictures of things we want in life; we filled the board with intentional pictures that related to achieving those accomplished goals from the writing prompt. I encourage you, to use the writing prompt above as well. It was very helpful to me at times I get overwhelmed with all the thing I “think” I should be doing but this prompt helped me to narrow my focus.

I’ll share a few things from my vision board and what it means to me. The bottom right pictures symbolizes me and my husband traveling out of the country. I always love to travel, but I’m extremely fearful of traveling outside of the country. My plan is to take baby steps and plan a small getaway real soon.

To the left, the picture of the young lady sitting on the floor symbolize me having peace that surpasses all understanding.

I hope you guys have already got started on your 2018 goals, now it’s time to make the vision plain!
